Opera Pathfinders
A youth community shaping the future of opera — onstage, behind the scenes, and in the audience.
Opera Pathfinders is a dynamic civic engagement program for young people ages 16 to 21 who are passionate about opera and the performing arts. Through a mix of in-person and virtual experiences, participants build community, explore creative and administrative career pathways, and develop leadership, advocacy, and critical thinking skills. Whether interested in producing, arts administration, or audience engagement, youth from diverse backgrounds participating in Opera Pathfinders are empowered to connect deeply with Lyric Opera of Chicago — and to help imagine what opera can become for future generations.
